Yeah, we gave you a plethora of hatching photos to ooh and ahh over when we received our first Pleo, but considering our inexplicable fear of needles and prehistoric blood, we never considered taking things any further. Apparently, the folks over at Pleo Dreams completely disregarded our recommendation to not de-skin the dinosaur, and proceeded to remove every square centimeter of Pleo’s covering on video. Believe it or not, things get pretty interesting once the garb comes off, but you’ll have to endure a near-24 minute clip in order to say you saw the entire procedure from start to finish. You ready? Honda unveils its revamped Civic Type-R. The Modula CTR boasts “19-inch Modulo wheels wrapped in 225/35 R19 R-compound tires and a revised suspension, along with a new front fascia, rear bumper, side skirts and wing.” Click here for first picture in gallery.
The checkered livery speaks to its track-friendly nature, but the inside of the Civic Type-R is what gains the most attention. Honda replaced several interior panels with carbon fiber components and fitted custom Recaro seats, a new dash display and an F1-inspired steering wheel with integrated shift lights

This nifty Levitron gadget from ThinkGeek is “a magnetic anti-gravity top that is just as fun to setup as it is to watch in motion.” Video demonstration after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.
Basically, you just use the included top weights to adjust to the perfect weight (which varies from location to location and surface to surface), then you adjust the legs on the base. Then spin the top, slowly lift the lifter (with top on it) until the top escapes the platform and release

Honda has just unveiled its transforming Rose Parade float, which aspires to be half truck, half futuristic flying aircraft. Short “making of” video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery. Here’s how it works:
…generators will cause “the hood of the truck to fold forward to become an aircraft cockpit, the doors and sides of the truck to unfold outward to become wings, the wheels to tuck under the body, and the bed of the truck to open and take on the form of an aircraft tail section, complete with rocket engines - and even real fire.”
