Midnight Club Los Angeles

Unlike its predecessor, Midnight Club Los Angeles features “a day-to-night cycle and weather effects, adding a realistic aspect to the game.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The game will be set in the city of Los Angeles, again providing the option to completely free-roam (on roadways quite larger than all the cities combined from Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition).

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of LEGO Mindstorms, a group of professors, middle-school students, and corporate nerds will be launching several Mindstorms robots into near-space. The High Altitude LEGO Extravaganza (HALE) project will set the robots aloft in an atmospheric weather balloon shortly before sunrise this morning outside of Reno, Nevada. At about 100,000 feet (30km) the balloon will burst and the robots will parachute back to terra firma collecting data and photographs along the way. One robot named Lil’ Joe will attempt a world record free-fall decent before deploying its parachute on a pre-programmed schedule. Mind you, the world record is attributable to Mindstorms NXT free-fall, a title we expect is currently held by your little brother sleeping upstairs.

Carrera GT Replica

From afar, it may look like a Carrera GT, but “this Carrera actually started life as a Boxster, got put in the taffy puller and stretched 12 inches front and back, and then had a new body dropped on top.” Auction page. Click here for more pictures of the Carrera GT replica.

Keen eyes render it obvious as a poseur, but it’s actually a pretty good fake. Better than most of the Fierarris we’ve seen, anyway.

The Black Manta has many powers, which he gets after beating a level. The player can choose which power to use by pressing start. These powers can help the Black Manta defeat enemies and bosses more quickly.

Ugly Car

To call this vehicle an ugly car is an understatement, it’s a monstrosity. It begins “with a Cimbria kit car, adding a dash of Corvette, the headlights from a Cougar, tail lights from a Vauxhall, and styling by Syd Mead, this VW powered… thing, has fractured our perception.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

We aren’t saying it’s repulsive, but there is certainly something terrifying about it. So terrifying you can’t look away.

iPhone Copy Paste

Finally, iPhone copy paste functionality is now built into the upcoming MagicPad application, which uses “the magnifying glass tool to drag out a selection.” Video after the break.

Of course, SDK limitations keep the functionality quarantined within MagicPad itself, but its developers, Proximi, hope to use it as a case study for pushing forward one of the iPhone software’s most wanted features.

Iron Man Suit

This could quite possibly be the best homemade Iron Man suit ever — stands 6.2-feet tall. Featuring “flexible plastic for the midsection and neck, and foam rubber for the gloves.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

The arc reactor lights up, and the eyes are covered with reflective lenses. For sound effects, however, you still have to shout “pew pew pew” while waving your arms up in the air.
