In this showdown, we get to watch “the two fastest American-made, street legal, 600+ hp beasts as they tangle in a ‘Ring battle for the ages.” Video after the break.

The video proves what we already knew, but it’s still fun to see how two very different, yet very similar cars, handle the twists and turns of the Nurburgring.

Spinn

According to early adopters, the iRiver SPINN “with brilliant OLED display and up to 16GB of storage looks to be device-for-device better to the more massive iPod touch.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The SPINN navigation is very well implemented and grants for natural and precise one-handed operation with heavy tactile control — touchscreen too if that’s your preference.

Track and Field 2

Track and Field 2 for the NES boasts “15 sporting events, with two of them available as bonus stages between rounds of the ‘Olympic’ mode.” ScrewAttack takes a look back at this title after the break.

Despite the II numeral, it is actually the fourth game in the series. It still continues the Olympic-themed sports events, but adds more realism by choosing a country for the player to represent.

SNES Controller

Yes, the giant SNES controller above actually works and is not just for looks. Put simply, “the body of the controller is cut from wood, and the buttons are connected directly to the guts of a standard SNES controller.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

The angular, simply-shaped NES controller lent itself well to humongonization, but the rounded sides and shoulder buttons made the SNES a formidable challenge to accurately build at such a large scale.

If you thought your 1-hour iPhone sync was too long, then check out what happens when the handset gets stuck in the backup phase for almost 8-hours. Video after the break.

To troubleshoot the problem, he restored his phone from scratch, but even after reinstalling 7.7.1 iTunes and 2.0.2 firmware in his never-jailbreaked iPhone 3G, the sync is unbearably long.

Nintendo Wii PC

This custom Nintendo Wii PC “runs on a Celeron core, and has 512MB of RAM and packs a 40GB hard drive — just like a ‘real’ PC, it sports DVI video and USB ports.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

And while the Celeron 1.3GhZ processor isn’t going to win any speed records, it’s still about twice as fast as the Power PC chipset that powers the Wii itself.

Brothers in Arms

New features in Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway include “the ability to command a further squad from a selection of new specialized units (bazooka teams and machine gun teams).” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

When a command is issued, the player model uses hand signals to issue the command to his squad, just like the previous games in the series.
