Sure, the Wall Street Journal states there’s only 11 minutes of actual action in each NFL game, but on Super Bowl Sunday we’ll be prepped to catch every one of them — and all the commercials, play stoppages and halftime shows in between — in the ideal quality possible. The Colts and Saints both came close to racking up undefeated regular season records but missed, due either to lackluster play and late season injuries or just a decision to play Curtis Painter. While that means the ‘72 Dolphins get to hang onto a glorious past for one more year, these pass-happy offenses of the future are expected to light up the scoreboard all night and we’ll need to make sure our equipment is up to par for a 2010 Super Bowl experience.

It’s turning out to be quite the day for Alienware, eh? First we see that the M15x and M17x are finally up for order (with their swank Core i7s within), and now we’ve got the first public video of the M11x doing its thang. If you’ll recall, we only had enough time at CES to snap a few quick pictures, but now that the starting-at-$799 ultraportable (or “netbook,” if you must) is said to be “coming soon,” it seems that parent company Dell is feeling pretty good about showing it off. An employee recently had the chance to sit down with what was originally coined the Phantom (full story awaits you in the Source link), and even though it can be hidden behind a standard sized magazine, this diminutive monster is still potent enough to cruise through Left 4 Dead 2 with nary a hiccup. Don’t believe us? Check the video for yourself after the break.

Last October, we would’ve never guessed that T-Mobile would bother to circle back with HTC on the myTouch 3G to craft a slightly modified version that fixes everyone’s single biggest complaint — the lack of an integrated 3.5mm headphone jack — but here we are now in January with that very product resting in our hands. Even crazier, though, is that the only version of the modified phone (or, at least, the only version announced so far) is a limited edition tie-up with Fender and pitchman Eric Clapton. Strange bedfellows, indeed — maybe just strange enough to work. Seriously, who doesn’t want a phone endorsed by one of the hippest, most storied brands of the 20th century?

Lenovo already roll out a few AMD-based ThinkPads earlier this month, and it’s now also expanded things to its IdeaPad line with its new G455A model, which looks to be exclusive to China for now. Sliding in right above Lenovo’s netbook offerings, this one packs a 14-inch, 1,366 x 768 display, along with a 2.1GHz AMD Athlon II M320 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and Windows 7 for an OS — among other standard fare — all for a price tag of 3,999 yuan, or just under $600. Still no indication of a release over here, but this one looks to be available in China right now.

Not even a week after the iPad’s unveiling, modders have already ported the user interface over to the iPhone and iPod Touch, though you’ll need a jailbroken device. Continue reading to see it in-action. More information.
At this particular point, 50-something days away from the earliest iPad deliveries, we doubt too many people are up in arms about the iPad’s capability to act as a jumbo iPhone.

According to EPL Talk, the Fox Soccer Channel is now broadcasting in HD and “the next step for cable and satellite carriers will be to manually add a HD channel (cable) or HD sub-channel (satellite).” Viewers across North America are reporting that FSC HD is only in testing mode currently, and will be launched nationwide on March 1st.
DirecTV is receiving the HD signal from Fox Soccer Channel but DirecTV has not yet added the HD feed, a source confirmed to EPL Talk on Thursday.

An iPad-related post appeared on the official Ideal Purchase forums during the keynote a few days ago, and that has lead many to believe that the device will be sold at the store. No formal announcement has been made by the company yet. However, they do sell iPhones, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the iPad does make its way to the blue come March/April.
It has a 9.7 inch capacitive multi-touch IPS display and they report up to 10 hours of battery life with over a month of standby. It’s only .5″ thick and weighs 1.5 pounds, less than any netbook. Built in WiFi, compass, accelerometer and microphone are some of the features.
