If you thought your 1-hour iPhone sync was too long, then check out what happens when the handset gets stuck in the backup phase for almost 8-hours. Video after the break.

To troubleshoot the problem, he restored his phone from scratch, but even after reinstalling 7.7.1 iTunes and 2.0.2 firmware in his never-jailbreaked iPhone 3G, the sync is unbearably long.

Nintendo Wii PC

This custom Nintendo Wii PC “runs on a Celeron core, and has 512MB of RAM and packs a 40GB hard drive — just like a ‘real’ PC, it sports DVI video and USB ports.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

And while the Celeron 1.3GhZ processor isn’t going to win any speed records, it’s still about twice as fast as the Power PC chipset that powers the Wii itself.

Brothers in Arms

New features in Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway include “the ability to command a further squad from a selection of new specialized units (bazooka teams and machine gun teams).” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

When a command is issued, the player model uses hand signals to issue the command to his squad, just like the previous games in the series.

Landspeeder

Built by Daniel Deutsch, this functional Landspeeder “has a custom aluminum chassis, fiberglass body, and an electric drive system that hits lightspeed at 25 mph.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

The art detail is also pretty amazing (and reeks of authenticity), with body work and fake damage consistent with the landspeeder in the film. And it shouldn’t be huge shock that Deutsch has no intention of selling his magnum opus.

Stealth Helicopter

This R/C stealth helicopter from ThinkGeek “features 3-channels, allowing it to go up and down, rotate right and left and move forwards and backwards.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

You can actually fly it where you want it to go, it’s fairly rugged…and surprisingly it’s probably the easiest to fly small copter we’ve ever taken to the office airspace.

Samsung X

At just 2.8-pounds and 0.66-inches thick, the Samsung X 360 just might give the Voodoo EnVy 133 and MacBook Air a run for their money. Featuring an Intel Centrino 2 ULV processor, 1GB of included RAM (4GB max.), 64GB/128GB SSD or 120GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and a 13.3-inch display. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The best and worst news comes with the inputs and outputs; Samsung didn’t integrate an optical drive, but did find room for a 7-in-1 card reader, three USB ports, PCI ExpressCard/34, HDMI, VGA, LAN and a docking port.

BlackBerry Bold Review

Though the Bold isn’t RIM’s most innovative handset, it is however offer “3G, a glossy new UI, a real web browser, serious hardware and an almost beautiful body.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery. Here’s the bottom line from this BlackBerry Bold review:

If you’re a BlackBerry fanatic, yes - it really is the phone you’ve been waiting for, if you’re not hoping RIM radically changed the recipe. Because they didn’t. It’s cleaner and brighter, but it’s not an overhaul by any means.
